About Tim Farrell

A Washington resident since 1996, Tim Farrell can trace his roots in the Puget Sound to before the turn of the last century when his ancestors settled in Everett to help build the Great Northern Railroad. Educated at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and receiving both his Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Business, he moved to Tacoma shortly after graduation to work for now Senator Jim Kastama as his Legislative Assistant and Chief of Staff.

Elected in 2004 as a member of the Pierce County Council, Tim’s priorities have been ensuring Tacoma and Ruston taxpayers get their fair share of Pierce County tax dollars through maintaining our social-services network, expanding job creation and educational opportunities and preserving farmland in Pierce County.

His record of service has included being active in Eastside Women for Women’s Health, Puget Sound Chapter of the Susan G Komen Foundation, Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, and the Fraternal Order of Elks BPOE 174. He served as the chairman of the Tacoma Planning Commission and was a former member of the North End Neighborhood Council.
